MV Pharos SG

Pharos SG is owned by Pharos Marine Limited, which is wholly owned by Workboat Services Ltd.  This UK flagged vessel, with its crew of approximately 16, operates both in a patrolling capacity  as well as a logistics and science support role, carrying personnel and cargo between the Falklands and South Georgia & Bird Island under charter to the Government of South Georgia &  The South Sandwich Islands.

 

The reality of operating in some of the Southern Ocean’s harshest seas is offset for the crew by  getting to enjoy some of the great wildlife and dramatic land and seascapes (including icebergs) that this area offers.
