MV Stevelly Bay
Stevelly Bay is Workboat Services’ latest acquisition. Named after a bay on Dunbar Farm on West Falkland she is a 16m catamaran built in 2010, capable of carrying up to 3 crew, 12 passengers and 10 tonnes of cargo.
The capacity and speed of this vessel makes it an efficient workhorse for servicing the fishing and cruise industry in terms of crew and cargo movements. Operating out of her base at The Camber on the north shore of Stanley Harbour with a local crew, the launch predominantly operates in support of Fortuna Ltd’s fishing fleet – carrying crew, officials and cargo between the fishing vessels and Stanley.
Her comfort and passenger space internally and exterior deck space also lend themselves as an excellent sightseeing and tourism platform. We can offer a range of tourism trips on an adhoc and special request basis … these can range from short tours to enjoy views of the colourful town of Stanley from the water and some of the maritime history dotted around the inner harbour and Port William, to trips to the nature reserve Kidney Island.
Charter rates for the launch start at £200 per hour within normal working hours for operation within Stanley Harbour and Port William carrying up to 12 pax and 3 pallets or cargo. Rates for carrying larger amounts of cargo are available on request.
